About Us

Young Sisters of MUNA is one of the departments of Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) . YS of MUNA is based on the same basic belief, aim and objective and agendas as MUNA.

Aim and Objective: The aim and objective of this organization is to seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT) by striving for personal, moral, and social development of entire humanity.

Dawah :To call Muslims to practice Islamic Ideology and to introduce Islam properly to the non-Muslims.

Organization: To organize those, under the organization, who are interested in working for own and social well-being.

Education: To strive to purify ones self by acquiring Islamic knowledge, wisdom, piety (taqwa) and skills.

Social Service: To carry out social-welfare activities for the development of entire humanity. Relationship

Building: To try to develop and maintain harmonious relationship with various Muslim organizations, religious and ethnic communities and neighbors.

However, in addition to those, YS of MUNA particularly strives in working with the young sisters to bring them up as utmost successor of MUNA.

Others Chapters and areas are supervise by the local women leaders: Philadelphia, Delaware (DE), North Jersey (NJ), Boston (MA), South California (CA), Sacramento (CA), Santa Clara (CA), Idaho (ID), Wichita annual planning, short-term and long-term goals.

Subchapters

A brief list of the year around programs of YS of MUNA:National: * Leadership Program in every other month, * reporting program (phone conference) in every other month, and * Summer Camp. Zonal: ** Seminar (a dawah outreach program), and ** Educational Session. YS of MUNA under a direct chain of order starting from the National Department to Zones to Chapters and Sub-Chapters. Sub-Chapters of YS of MUNA are under supervision of Chapters. Therefore, the monthly baitulmal and reports go to the chapter and National department.YS of MUNA National Department is supervising many teams: National Team, Zonal Team, Chapter Representative and Dawah Area Representative, Media, Journalism and others.

Due to the continually hectic chaos of our everyday lives, we rarely ever attain the opportunity to experience that beautiful, overwhelming sense of emotion that engulfs us when our imaan is rejuvenated and restrengthened. And one of the best ways to restrengthen our imaan is by immersing ourselves in the environment of our fellow sisters in Islam. What better way to do so other than a three-day getaway to Hudson Valley with countless Muslim sisters this summer. In the midst of listening to thought-provoking lectures, invigorating sports, Unleashing our creative talents with arts and crafts, Amusing skits and plays, it will be an experience we assure you will never forget. And as clichéd as it might sound now, you will inevitably develop bonds of friendship and sisterhood so strong you wont want to say goodbye. So join us this summer for the Young Sisters of MUNA Summer Camp 2011!
To attend the Summer Camp, you MUST be in Sixth Grade or up..Remember, you MUST bring the registration & liability Form signed with you on the day of the camp. NO EXCEPTION. A message from Shahana Masum

All praises goes to the Lord of mankind who made it possible. Alhamdullillah! It was YS of MUNA National Teams pleasure to have you at the YS of MUNA Summer Camp 2010. I hope everyone reached home safely and you are shearing your experiences from YS Summer Camp with your family members. I miss you all, I cannot keep my mind away from thinking about your facieses, and each of you has unique beauty, talent, brightness and hope. Please keep your self-steam high, you are the future, so build the future for Ummah of Mhammad (sws) and others, if you need any help please remember us, we will do our best to help you. Do not keep yourself separate from the Ummah. If there any shot-come at the CAMP please forgive us. Friday I saw our flower garden was blossoming, by night our garden was fully flourish, Saturday ..Subahannallah! Sunday afternoon we were losing our beautiful flowers .Now our garden is in Fall by. -Shahana (Ammah Group)

Alhumdulilah MUNA YS CAMP 2010 turned out to be an unforgetable memory for everyone who attended. This year we had our highest number of campers reaching to a record of 200 young Muslimahs. We all stayed under one roof, Baitul Ma'mur. We listened to the inspirational voice of many scholars including Sheikh Abdul Malik, and enjoyed many hours watching the waves hit our feet at the Jonathan Riis Park. We admired the many creative skits that our fellow campers camp up with in one night.

Quran Seminar 2011

AL-QURAN SEMINAR
If you didn't attend this year's Al-Quran seminar and had to hear about it from someone else, you missed out on a truly invigorating seminar on the significance of developing a personal relationship to the Quran. Our first lecturer Abu Samihah reinculcated in us the message which is the most essential and valuable message of all: the "Message From the Quran." In his lecture "How to Fall in Love with the Quran [And Perform an Open-Heart Surgery]," Sharif Faizullah engaged us all in a very uniquely interactive activity inclining us to reflect upon our connection - or lack of it - with the Quran. This mental reflection of each of our personal connections with the heart of the source of Islam enabled us to ponder the obstacles which we allow to distance ourselves from the Quran - such as lack of time throughout our daily lives, mere lethargy, or the barrier of language. Considering the fact that this Book will ultimately come to intercede for us on the Day of Judgment, we should strive to transcend these obstacles which hinder our path and our hearts from connecting with the heart of the Quran. In addition to these lectures, sisterly love abounded, and through nostalgic collages of former events, humorous depictions of a moralistic story, and even informational presentations, the many subchapters of MUNA Youth Girls presented their talents and accomplishments achieved throughout the year through their subchapters and with their sisters in Islam
